About Gary
Gary Beckley is the last namesake in his family, traced back to Washington County, Maryland, and Lovettsville, Virginia, in 1770. He was born to parents whose heritage comes from Alsace-Lorraine, and he was raised in a small Ohio community before emigrating to New Zealand for twenty-six years. He’s recently returned to his Ohio roots, where he enjoys being a family historian, political scientist, and storyteller.
